The short version

  • The Venus Almanac is for style, wellbeing and reflection. It is not medical advice, and cycle predictions must never be used as contraception.
  • New subscribers get 7 days free, then A$11.99 a month or A$114.99 a year. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple Account settings.
  • Your diary and logs belong to you and stay on your phone, so please keep your phone backed up.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Gretchen Scalora, a sole trader trading as The Venus Almanac (ABN 21 522 799 850), referred to as "we", "us" or "our". By downloading or using the app or website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What The Venus Almanac is

The Venus Almanac brings together your menstrual cycle, your birth chart, the Moon and your local weather to give you a daily reading with style, beauty and wellbeing suggestions. It includes horoscopes, a birth chart, cycle estimates, weather forecasts, a Moon diary, personal insights, reminders, a daily star ritual and shareable story cards.

Astrology is offered for inspiration, entertainment and self-reflection. It is not a science, and it should not be the basis for important decisions about your health, money, relationships or safety.

You must be at least 16 to use The Venus Almanac. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission to buy a subscription.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Your information and content

Everything you enter, including your logs, diary entries and notes, belongs to you. It is stored on your iPhone, not with us, as explained in our Privacy Policy. This means we cannot recover it if your phone is lost, reset or replaced, or if you delete the app. We recommend backing up your iPhone.

8. Using the app fairly

You are welcome to share your story cards on social media for personal use. Please keep the venusalmanac.com mark on them.

9. Our content

The app, website, design, writing, readings, illustrations and the name The Venus Almanac belong to us or are used under licence. Photographs are used under licence from their creators. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms.

10. Weather, links and partners

Weather forecasts come from a third-party provider and can be wrong or out of date. Please check official warnings for severe weather.

The app may include links to retailers and other websites, including affiliate links that may earn us a commission. When you buy from a retailer, your purchase is with them and their terms apply. We are not responsible for their products, prices, delivery or websites.

11. Changes and availability

We regularly improve The Venus Almanac and may add, change or remove features. We'll try to keep the app running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. If we make important changes to these terms, we will update the effective date and let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using The Venus Almanac at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you seriously breach these terms, but we will not do so unfairly, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law still apply.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. If you live elsewhere, you also keep any protections your local law gives you.
